The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)
declared the much-awaited ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) board
examination results. This year, too, girls continued their streak of
academic excellence, outshining boys across both the 10th and 12th
grades.

A total of 2,52,557 students appeared for the Class 10 (ICSE)
examination. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 99.37%, edging ahead
of boys, who secured 98.84%.

In the ISC (Class 12) examination, 99,551 students appeared, with
98,578 clearing the exams, resulting in an overall pass percentage of
99.02%. Among them, girls again led the way with a pass rate of
99.45%, while boys trailed slightly at 98.64%.

Mumbai Leads the Way: Bombay Scottish, Mahim Shines Bright

Mumbai schools have made a remarkable mark yet again, with Bombay
Scottish, Mahim, standing out as a national highlight. The school
proudly boasts two All-India Rank 1 (AIR-1) toppers — one each from
the Science and Commerce streams.

Ishmit Kaur, a Science stream student who secured a perfect 100%,
shared, "Consistency and discipline were key. I made sure not to pile
up my work, and regular practice and revision really helped."

"My mother was my biggest motivation, she ensured I stayed focused and
avoided distractions. Though at times I felt I was missing out on
family gatherings, I knew the effort would pay off. Success doesn’t
come overnight, you have to study a little every day to get where you
want".

Ishmit now plans to pursue medicine and is preparing for the upcoming NEET exam.

Aarav Bardhan from Bombay Scottish, Mahim, who secured an All India
Rank 1 in the Commerce stream with a perfect 100%, emphasized, "It’s
not about how many hours you study — it’s about consistent practice."

Aarav attributes his success to the guidance of his teachers and
regular mock tests. A passionate debater and national winner of the
prestigious Frank Anthony Debate, Aarav also founded his school’s moot
court — the Scottish Moot Court. He now eagerly awaits his CLAT
results, aspiring to pursue a career in law.

"Studying regularly throughout the year helped me feel prepared by
the time boards arrived," said Vihaan Roongta, Class 10 topper from
Bombay Scottish, Mahim, who scored 99.60%. "My mother kept me
motivated during tough times, especially when I felt burnt out. I
stopped comparing myself to others and focused on doing my best."

Vihaan now plans to appear for the JEE exams, get into IIT, and pursue
a career in finance. “I see myself offering data-driven insights to
clients and making a real impact in the financial world," he added.

Toppers from Other Schools Speak

Students from other Mumbai schools also shared their journeys and plans. “Unwavering support from my parents, teachers, and friends really
helped,” said Anmol Pai, Class 10 topper from Smt. Sulochanadevi
Singhania School, Thane, who scored 99.8%. "Solving past board papers
and multiple prelims made a big difference. I gave up gaming and
football to focus on my studies."

Inspired by his brother Advait, a research student at IISc Bangalore,
Anmol now plans to appear for JEE and the IISER aptitude test, having
chosen PCM.

"I want to pursue research in physics or chemistry, possibly in
astrophysics," he shared. "My long-term goal is to study at IISc, IIT,
or IISER and eventually pursue a PhD. I hope to contribute through
innovation, collaboration, and mentoring the next generation of
researchers."

Talking about the achievements, Revathi Srinivasan, principal of Smt.
Sulochanadevi Singhania School in Thane said, "I am incredibly proud
of our students—not only for their excellent board results, but also,
for the efforts and heart they put into this journey. This is a
reflection of their spirit, the support of their parents, and the
dedication of our teachers. If each one realised their potential, the
purpose is served !"

From Ryan International School, Malad, Chahak Khemka, another high
achiever who scored 99.4% in 10th grade, said, "I never saw studies as
a burden, they became a part of my life. Consistency, dedication, and
self-motivation were key. My parents and teachers helped me stay on
track, and I managed my time efficiently."

A regular participant in school activities, Chahak admitted that
balancing academics and co-curriculars was sometimes tough, especially
during exams. "Stress and self-doubt were challenges, but goal-setting
kept me focused," she said.

Chahak now plans to pursue engineering and is preparing for the JEE
exams. Her advice to future aspirants: "Treat every subject equally,
set daily targets, and solve plenty of sample papers."
