The selection of an applicant for a training slot in an Eastern Railway unit will be based on a merit list of all qualified applicants who apply in response to the notification. The merit list will be created based on the information provided by applicants in the online application form.

The application fee is Rs. 100/-. SC/ST/PwBD/Women applicants are not required to pay a fee. Payment can be done via a debit card, a credit card, or internet banking, among other options. The applicant will be responsible for any transaction charges associated with online payments.
Eastern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025: How to apply?
Step 1: Visit the official website of RRC/ER at rrcer.org.
Step 2: Next, fill out all the fields carefully and enter the category as per the valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Disability certificates.
Step 3: Now, apply for any Eastern Railway unit and select training unit preferences as per the notification.
Step 4: After this, enter a valid mobile number and email ID.
Note: All communication will be online—no postal letters will be sent. Candidates will be responsible for uploading genuine documents. If any are found invalid, their application may be cancelled. Legal matters will be addressed in the Kolkata courts.
Eastern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have completed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board, as well as a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Those applying for the position must be at least 15 years old and no older than 24 years old (as of the application deadline). The age as indicated in the Matriculation certificate issued by a government-recognised Board/body or the birth certificate issued by a government-recognized body shall only be used for this purpose.
Eastern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Documents required
The documents required for the registration are a scanned photograph, signature, class 10th marksheets, ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT, Community certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS, and PwD certificate.
