What began as a normal exam day in Kerala’s Kasaragod district turned into something out of a story when an eagle snatched a PSC aspirant’s hall ticket, only to return it just in time.

It was early Thursday morning at the Government UP School, the exam center for hundreds of Kerala Public Service Commission candidates. Among them was one young student, quietly revising his notes before the 7:30 am test, as he laid his hall ticket beside him, probably thinking nothing could go wrong. An eagle swooped in, snatched the ticket with its beak, and climbed to a high window ledge overlooking the venue. Candidates froze. Everyone watched, helpless. The aspirant stared up in disbelief as his only proof of eligibility hung by a beak.

Minutes went by, and the exam start time grew closer. The crowd felt the tension. PSC rules are clear: no hall ticket, no exam. The aspirant's chance at a government job was at risk because of the flying eagle.

And then, in what many are calling an almost divine twist, the eagle simply let go. The paper floated down, slightly wrinkled but whole, into the hands of its rightful owner. And the student rushed into the hall, beating the final bell by a whisker.

The video, uploaded by Manorama News, is making waves on social media.

Netizens' Reactions

"Even birds in Kerala want to be literate. Truly inspiring," one user wrote.

"That student’s stress got diverted. Now he’ll write the exam with even more confidence," said another.

"Imagine explaining to your parents why you didn’t take the exam—‘An eagle stole my hall ticket!’" joked a third.

"Even eagles in Kerala are civilised," another comment read.
