CBSE Started Second Phase Of Free Counselling For Class 10th 12th Students And Parents After Result Declaration

CBSE has started the second phase of its free counselling service for Class 10 and 12 students and their parents, following the result announcement on May 13, 2025. This 15-day support offers tele-counselling, IVRS, and online resources to help manage exam-related stress. Services are available through trained professionals both in India and abroad.

CBSE Result 2025: After declaring the results of the Class 10 and 12 board exams on May 13, 2025, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started the second phase of its free psychosocial counseling session. This post-result counseling service will be available up to May 28, 2025, for reaching out to students and parents who are under stress and anxiety regarding the exams.

Support Structure and Availability

The guidance program is designed into two primary stages—pre-exam and post-result to help students and parents at critical points in the academic cycle. The current post-result phase is a 15-day window of professional support and mental well-being to which students and parents can avail themselves.

A team of 65 experienced professionals, including 51 experts from India and 14 from international locations, will provide counselling. These experts include school principals, certified counsellors, special educators, and psychologists, all associated with CBSE-affiliated institutions. Their participation is entirely voluntary, aiming to make professional mental health support more accessible.

Counselling Options Available

- Tele-Counselling Services: Timings are Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM

- Who Provides It: Certified counsellors, principals, and psychologists

- Purpose: Emotional support, anxiety management, and guidance related to exam stress.

- 24/7 Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS): Toll-Free Number: 1800-11-8004

- Students have access to pre-recorded advice on stress management, time management, and FAQs.

- Digital Resources (Podcasts & Videos)

- CBSE has placed an online collection of bilingual audio-visual material.

- These materials deal with study skills, mental health, and coping mechanisms.

- Available on the official CBSE website and YouTube channel (CBSE HQ).

CBSE's post-result counselling phase is intended to offer a counseling atmosphere to the students at this time of transition so that they are prepared mentally and emotionally for their next academic or career move.
