Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur
Karisma Kapoor has had her fair share of ups and down when it comes to their relationship. First her engagement to Abhishek Bachchan was called off and she then married to Sunjay Kapur. But she didn’t have a happy marriage. The couple filed for a divorce in 2014 and got legally divorced in May 2016. And if reports are to be believed, she didn’t get anything for herself. A lawyer involved in the case were quoted saying, “Karisma will get Sunjay’s father’s house (in Khar) transferred in her name. Sunjay had to purchase bonds worth Rs.14 crore for upbringing and care of their two children. This will attract interest worth Rs.10 lakh per month. And apparently, Sunjay is bearing all the expenses of the kids.”
Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan
People and fans of ‘Greek God of Bollywood’ Hrithik Roshan were left in shock when the duo announced their separation in 2014. The rumours hinted up at the hiccups in their relationship when Hrithik’s international movie, ‘Kites’ released. Though for a very long time, the two denied about being anything wrong, they finally accepted that all was not well. However, till now the exact reason is unknown. But this was one of the most expensive divorces in Bollywood. Sussanne allegedly had demanded a Rs 400 crore as alimony to which Hrithik ended up paying Rs 380 Crore to her in a settlement.
Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani
It came as quite a shock when the couple decided to part ways and filed for divorce. Farhan chose to pay one-time alimony as opposed to a monthly instalment. After the divorce, Adhuna expressed desire to keep their Mumbai residence which is reportedly a 10,000 square feet bungalow at Bandstand for herself. Alongside this, Farhan is also contributing a major amount in the security and upbringing of their daughters.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh
Marriage of the Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan and Bollywood actress Amrita Singh was a big controversy, thanks to the age-gap between the two. Their 13-year-old marriage ended up on an ugly note. After the divorce, the Chote Nawab had to pay a hefty amount as a part of alimony and child support. Though the amount was never revealed, it is believed that it was almost half his fortune. In an old interview, Saif said:
“I’m supposed to give Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which I’ve already given her approximately Rs 2.5 crore. Also, I’m paying Rs 1 lakh per month until my son becomes 18. I’m not Shah Rukh Khan. I don’t have that kind of money. I’ve promised her I’ll pay up the rest of the money, and I will, even if I’ve to slog till I drop dead.”
Sanjay Dutt and Rhea Pillai
Bollywood’s ‘Khalnayak’ Sanjay Dutt was in love with his second wife, Rhea Pillai before she fell in love with tennis star Leander Paes. It is believed that Sanjay wasn’t at fault in this relationship and as a part of alimony, Sanju baba ended up paying Rs 8 crore and gave her a sea-face luxury apartment along with an expensive car. He is also believed to took care of her bills for a very long time.

Shocking but yeah! the two also ended up getting divorced. In fact, the two had an ugly divorce with both making accusations against each other in front of the media. Paes even accused her of cheating with young cricketer. Still, Rhea demanded Rs 4 lakh from Paes as monthly maintenance, Rs 3 lakh for herself and Rs 90,000 for their daughter.

Well, it is a known fact that producer Aditya Chopra is happily married to Rani Mukerji, there is very little known about his first wife, Payal Khanna. It was rumoured that the poster girl of Bollywood allegedly demanded a Rs 10-15 crore as a settlement. Whether this was granted by the court or provided by Arbaaz is unconfirmed.
