Tesla is in a spot of bother, as the company shares and fortunes at large, after seeing a meteoric rise in the later half of 2024, especially the last couple of months, and the beginning of 2025, have been pushed into a space of volatility and jeopardy.

'Shocked By the Level Of Violence'

In the recent past, apart from low production, and even slower sales numbers, the Elon Musk-led company has also had to tackle the backlash against the company, directed at Musk and his comments and consequential policies as the Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE's de facto head.

Musk has given out a lot of interviews in the recent past; in one such interview, while speaking with Fox News's Sean Hannity, Musk expressed his dismay with the development.

In the interview, he said, "It's come as quite a shock to me that there's this level of hatred and violence from the left."

He put the blame squarely on the American opposition party (The Democratic Party).

Musk further added, "I always thought that Democrats were supposed to be the party of empathy and caring and yet they're burning down cars, firebombing dealerships, firing bullets into dealerships, and smashing up Teslas."

'Never Harmed Anyone'

Musk went on to claim that Tesla is a 'peaceful' company, and that the electric carmaker has never done anything harmful.

He further defended himself and his actions and said, "I've never done anything harmful, I've only done productive things. I think we have a deranged mental illness thing going on here because this doesn't make any sense."

Further spinning a theory of a greater concerted effort to target Tesla, Musk sail claimed that there are 'larger forces' at work.

"I don't know, who is funding this and who is coordinating this? Because this is crazy, I've never seen anything like this.", said Elon Musk.

Tesla Shares In Decline

In the previous trading session on Tuesday, the company shares further shrunk by by 5.34 per cent or USD 12.70, taking the overall value of Tesla stocks to Rs 225.31 per piece.
