New Delhi: The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has started a big drive across India. This drive is to include all eligible farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme by May 31, 2025. The goal is to make sure no farmer who qualifies misses out on the benefits.
About PM-KISAN Scheme
PM-KISAN was launched in 2019 to help farmers with their money needs. The government gives Rs 6,000 each year to farmers. This money comes in three parts of Rs 2,000 each. It helps farmers pay for crops and other home expenses.
Upcoming Payment Details
The 20th instalment of Rs 2,000 will be sent to farmers in June 2025. To get this payment, farmers need to do a few important things:
- Complete their eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process
- Link their Aadhaar card to their bank account
- Verify their land records
If these steps are not done, farmers may not get the payment.
How Farmers Can Complete Formalities
Farmers are asked to visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to finish the required steps. The official PM-KISAN Twitter handle (@pmkisanofficial) has reminded farmers to do this quickly to avoid losing their benefits.
Government’s Commitment
The government wants to give help on time and is asking state officials to check farmers’ details at village level. The drive also wants to add new farmers who have not joined PM-KISAN yet.
Previous Payments
The 19th instalment was given on February 24, 2025, helping over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women. Before that, the 18th instalment came in October 2024, and the 17th in June 2024.
