New Delhi: The 20th installment of PM-Kisan scheme is likely to be released by the end of June or in July 2025. Nearly 9.88 crore farmers across India will receive Rs 2,000 each directly into their bank accounts.
But to receive the payment, farmers must complete some key updates. Without these, the installment may be delayed or stopped.
8 Important Tasks Farmers Must Complete

e-KYC is Mandatory
Farmers must complete e-KYC. Without this, they will not receive the next installment.
There are 3 ways to complete e-KYC:
- Using mobile OTP on the PM-Kisan portal
- Visiting a nearby CSC (Common Service Centre) for biometric KYC
- Face authentication using mobile phone

Bank Account Must Be Linked with Aadhaar
The bank account should be Aadhaar and NPCI linked. Only then will the money be transferred.
Correct Name Everywhere
The name should match on the Aadhaar, bank account, and PM-Kisan portal.
Land Records Must Be Verified
Farmers need to have verified land records approved by their state.
States like UP and MP are still running the Farmer Registry process.
Check and Correct Details on Portal
Update mobile number, address, and other details if needed.
Bank Account Should Be Active
Closed or inactive accounts will not receive the installment.
No Duplicate Registration
If one farmer has registered more than once, the payment will be stopped.
Correct Aadhaar Details
Ensure name, date of birth, and gender are correct on Aadhaar.

How to Check and Update Details
Farmers can log in to pmkisan.gov.in and check their details. If anything is incorrect or missing, they should update it immediately.
Purpose of the Scheme
- Help farmers buy farming essentials
- Ensure some income after harvest
- Protect them from debt and support continued farming
- Strengthen the rural economy and the farming sector
About PM-Kisan Scheme
The PM-Kisan Yojana started in February 2019. It provides Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers.
This amount is sent in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
So far, Rs 3.68 lakh crore has been sent to farmers in 19 installments.
19th installment: Rs 22,000 crore sent to 9.8 crore farmers on 24 February 2025
18th installment: Rs 20,000 crore sent on 5 October 2024
Usually, the government sends a new installment every 4 months.
