The India Young Professionals Scheme is opening today. It allows Indians between 18 and 30 years to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years. Under the India Young Professionals Scheme, one can pursue short-term study courses in Britain.
On July 22, 2025, the latest India Young Professionals Scheme ballot will open at 1:30 pm and will close at 1:30 pm India Standard Time on 24 July 2025.
In 2025, 3,000 places are available for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa. In the February ballot, most slots are available. The remaining places are being made available in the second and final ballot in July. The ballot opens today on July 22, for young Indians looking to apply under the India Young Professionals Scheme.
To apply for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa, you must be selected in the India Young Professionals Scheme ballot.
To be eligible for the visa, you must be an Indian citizen, be between 18 and 30 years old, have an eligible qualification of bachelor’s degree level or above and have £2,530 in savings, which is approximately Rs 3 lakh.

Each ballot entry can only be submitted by one person, and any subsequent attempts will not be counted. If one is successful in the ballot, one will be invited to apply for a visa. 90 days from the date of the email, apply online for the visa, pay the visa application fee and immigration health surcharge (£1,552) and provide your fingerprints and photo (biometric information).
One can enter the ballot if one is an Indian citizen and if one is eligible for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa. Check if one is eligible for the visa before entering the ballot. One will need to provide the passport details along with other basic information. The results will be sent by email within 2 weeks of the ballot closing. Successful ballot entries will be picked at random.
