A 90-day stay on tariffs by the President Donald Trump gave a big relief to the U.S. market. As soon as the news broke, stock prices of major tech companies went up sharply. This surprise jump helped some of the world’s richest people earn billions of dollars in a single day.

Musk, Zuckerberg, and Bezos Gain Big

Elon Musk Tops the Billionaire Index

According to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Elon Musk earned USD 35.9 billion in one day, pushing his total wealth to USD 326 billion. This one-day increase is more than Jack Ma’s total net worth of USD 34.4 billion. Tesla shares rose by a huge 23 percent on Wednesday, making this possible. Although Musk's wealth dropped by USD 107 billion earlier this year, he still holds the top spot in the billionaire list.

Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos Follow

Mark Zuckerberg also saw a massive gain. He made USD 25.8 billion in a single day, bringing his net worth to USD 207 billion. This jump was due to Meta’s shares increasing by around 15 per cent.

Jeff Bezos wasn’t far behind. His wealth increased by USD 18.5 billion, pushing his total to USD 210 billion. With this, he joined the elite USD 200 billion club again.

NASDAQ Sees Biggest Jump Since 2001

The tech-heavy NASDAQ index rose by 12.2 per cent, which is the highest one-day rise since 2001. Amazon shares gained 12 per cent, and Meta shares also went up strongly, adding to the billionaires’ fortunes.

NVIDIA CEO Enters Top 15

Another notable name is Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA. His wealth rose by USD 15.5 billion, helping him enter the top 15 richest people list for the first time.

A Big Day for Tech Giants

The relief on tariffs turned out to be a jackpot for tech billionaires. With Tesla, Meta, and Amazon shares skyrocketing, the world’s richest saw their wealth multiply in just 24 hours.
