The 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, took charge at the famous Oval Office on January 20. Almost immediately after taking over the 'Resolute Desk', Trump, as promised, kicked off his second and last term at the White House with a flurry of executive orders.
Trump 2.0
Before all this, following his inauguration as the president of the United States, Trump gave a 29-minute speech. Post that, as is the case recently, Elon Musk got on to the state to speak.
A visibly ecstatic and euphoric Musk did something while concluding his speech that has drawn a lot of attention and even some criticism.
As he bid adieu and thanked people in the audience in Washington, Musk waved in a fashion that has come under some scrutiny.
Musk's Nazi Salute?
While thanking the audience present in the room, Elon Musk waved his hand, in what many are claiming to be a style similar to the infamous Nazi Salute, routinely performed by Adolf Hitler.
However, some others, Musk's ardent followers and neutral opinion makers, included, that Musk's gesticulation was not a Nazi Salute. In fact, according to these people, he was gesticulating, while saying “Thank you, my heart goes out to you.”
Aaron Astor, who claims to be historian on his X profile also added to this conversation, dismissing the claims. According to him, this was not a Nazi Salute. Astor took to X with a video of the event in his post. He said, "I have criticized Elon Musk many times for letting neo-Nazis pollute this platform. But this gesture is not a Nazi salute. This is a socially awkward autistic man's wave to the crowd where he says "my heart goes out to you."
Musk himself has not commented or bothered to issue a clarification on the matter. But X accounts in close affiliation to him have scrutinsed 'media' for the coverage.
One X user by the name of Doge Designer, which is often seen making posts supporting Musk said, "DO NOT BELIEVE THE MEDIA
The media is misleading you. Elon Musk never did a Nazi salute. Watch the full video: He simply gestured and said, “Thank you, my heart goes out to you.”
