Mumbai: India’s youngest airline Akasa Air introduced ‘Akasa Priority’ as a combined package offering priority check-in, boarding and bag service. The airline has launched the service aiming to offer efficiency, comfort, and convenience to domestic and international travellers.

On Friday, Akasa Air launched Akasa Priority, which is said to provide a seamless journey from check-in to boarding, allowing customers to experience enhanced ease and comfort throughout their travel.

Through Akasa Priority, customers will be able to skip the queues and benefit from a streamlined check-in process, ensuring a hassle-free airport experience. The service will also offer prioritised boarding and expedited baggage handling, which is said to prioritise their luggage arrival.

By offering these benefits as a combined package, Akasa Priority aims to provide a cost-effective solution for travellers who would purchase each service separately. This bundled option is expected to ensure greater value while enhancing the overall travel experience.

Customers can add Akasa Priority while making a flight reservation or managing their booking through the airline’s official website or mobile app. Travellers can also pre-book the service online or purchase it at the airport up to one hour before departure for domestic flights and two hours before departure for international flights. The per-sector fee to avail the service has been set at Rs700 for domestic passengers and Rs800 for international passengers.

Akasa Air’s brand-new fleet provides ample legroom and enhanced comfort and comes with USB ports in a majority of aircraft, allowing passengers to charge their gadgets and devices on the go. Café Akasa, the airline’s onboard meal service, offers an assortment of healthy and delectable meals, including festive menus and industry-first options such as Kombucha, to offer customers an indulgent gourmet experience in the skies.

Pets on Akasa allows customers to travel with their pets in the cabin or to carry them in cargo based on their weight. Akasa Air offers over 25 ancillary products to deliver on its promise of exceptional customer service, such as Akasa GetEarly, Seat & Meal Deal, Extra Seat and Akasa Holidays. Consistently enhancing the cabin experience for its customers, Akasa has launched several industry-firsts such as SkyScore by Akasa, SkyLights and QuietFlights.
