Adani Power; private power generation player; has been slapped with GST demand of over Rs 31 crore, according to company's exchange filling.
The company's exchange filling said, tax demand notice in the name of the erstwhile whollay owned subsidiary of the comapany 'Raipur Energen' pertaining to period July 2017 to March 2018.
The original order was given to the company in the name of its former wholly owned subsidiary formerly Raipur Energen Ltd. by the Company in August 2019), wherein a penalty of Rs. 15.60 and a GST demand of Rs. 15.60 crore have been imposed.

Adani Power Ltd's consolidated net profit for the fiscal third quarter ended December (Q3FY25) increased by 7.38 per cent year over year to Rs 2,940.07 crore. A year ago, the company reported a profit of Rs 2,737.96 crore. Over time, the consolidated net profit decreased by 10.8 per cent.

Adani Power's consolidated revenue from operations increased by 5.23 per cent year over year to Rs 13,671.18 crores in the quarter that ended in December (Q3 FY25) from Rs 12,991.44 crore in Q3 FY24. Revenue increased by 2.5 per cent sequentially.

In the exchange filing, the company reported that its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached Rs 6,185.18 crore, a 23.5 per cent increase over the same quarter the previous year.
