Woman Commits Suicide After Tiff With Husband In Bhopal

According to reports, a resident of Gandhi Nagar area, Riya Dhanak had a love marriage two years back and has a son.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 21-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. The woman allegedly took the extreme step over marital dispute Further investigations were being carried out in this connection, police said.

According to reports, a resident of Gandhi Nagar area, Riya Dhanak had a love marriage two years back and has a son. For the past few months, the couple was not on good terms and often used to scuffle over different issues.

On Tuesday night Riya consumed some poisonous substance and was admitted to Hamidia Hospital by her kin. However, she died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday morning. Police handed over her body to her kin after a post-mortem examination. The family of Riya alleged that her husband used to harass her.

Tailor ends life

In another incident, a 19 year old youth identified as Ghissilal Mehra hanged himself in his room at Gwal Basti under Gandhi Nagar police station on Tuesday night.

The youth used to work as a tailor and his family claimed that they were clueless about the reasons behind the incident.
