Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In the ongoing Raja Raghuwanshi murder case, Govind Raghuwanshi, the brother of main accused Sonam Raghuwanshi, has said that he is receiving multiple calls from lawyers every day.
However, he has made it clear that he will not speak to any lawyer or hire one until he personally meets Sonam and the police investigation is complete.
Govind revealed that 10 to 15 lawyers are calling him daily, offering to take up Sonam’s case, but he is asking all of them to wait.
He insisted, "I haven’t contacted any lawyer myself, nor am I searching for one. My only wish is to meet Sonam first. Due to the ongoing investigation, meeting her right now doesn’t feel right. Once the police inquiry is over, I will meet her and only then make any decisions."

Raja’s Family Wants to Perform Sonam’s Last Rites
Despite Sonam being alive, Raja Raghuwanshi’s family has expressed the desire to perform her pind daan. Govind said his family supports Raja’s family in this decision and respects their right to do so.
“If Raja’s family wants to perform the ritual, they absolutely can. We will stand with them during that time,” he added.

Jewelry Returned to Raja’s Family
Govind also mentioned that all the jewelry gifted to Sonam by Raja’s family has already been returned. Only one chain remains, which is currently in police custody. Once the investigation is complete, it can be collected from the police. “We’ve returned everything from our side,” Govind said.
Sonam Raghuwanshi, along with other accused Raj Kushwah and another person, is currently locked up in a jail in Meghalaya. Raja and Sonam had gone missing from Indore on May 23.
On June 2, Raja’s dead body was found, and Sonam was later located on June 9 at a roadside eatery in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
