Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A car was spotted running on the platform edge of Bhopal Railway Station early on Saturday morning, leaving the passengers shocked!
Similarly, a scooter was also found speeding on platform no. 4 of the station.
The passengers captured both the incidents-- highlighting negligence of the GRP, on mobile phones. The clips are being widely circulated on social media.
After coming across the same, police have taken cognizance of the matter and have started an investigation.
According to eyewitnesses, the man driving the car entered the station at high speed and drove all the way along Platform 6, dangerously close to the railway tracks.
Fortunately, no train was present at the time, otherwise a major accident could have occurred. Meanwhile, the scooter rider spotted on Platform 4 also posed a serious threat to passenger safety.
These incidents have raised serious questions about the security arrangements at one of the state's busiest railway stations.
Notably, vehicles can enter the station near the parcel office towards Platform Number 6.
This entry point has become a security loophole at Bhopal Railway Station. Through this same route, anyone can drive directly onto Platforms 6, 5, and 4 without any checks.
Shockingly, there is neither a barricade nor any permanent security screening system at this gate.
However, the incident have prompted the officials to take immediate action towards preventions of such activities.
