Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A disturbing incident took place at Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati Railway Station on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday at 2 am, in which three drunk youths hurled abuses and attacked GRP (Government Railway Police) officers. During the incident, a constable’s uniform was also torn.

The entire incident was captured in a video in which the accused can be seen chasing and beating the GRP officers while abusing them.

After receiving the information, police arrested one accused, while two others are still on the run.

Accused were drinking in a car

According to the Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramdayal Tekam from the GRP station, on Friday night, a police team had gone to shut down the Bansal One Shops and Restaurants inside the station premises.

While doing so, they noticed a few young men drinking inside a car. When the police asked them to leave, an argument broke out which soon turned violent. The youths manhandled Constables Sandeep, Kamal Raghuvanshi, and Nazar Daulat Khan. In the scuffle, Daulat Khan’s uniform was torn.

2 accused absconding

A video of the incident has surfaced, showing three youths opening the door of the GRP’s official vehicle and attacking the policemen. They can also be heard hurling abuses in the video. The chaos led to a large crowd gathering at the station.

ASI Ramdayal said that an FIR has been registered against the three accused. The main accused, Jitendra Yadav, has been arrested, while his two accomplices are still absconding. Police teams are conducting raids to catch them.
