Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): An 8-year-old boy died of electric shock while helping two neighbours lay illegal electricity wires in Gwalior on Friday. The boy was reportedly promised 20 rupees by the neighbors to assist with the illegal wiring.
The disturbing scene was recorded on CCTV installed in the area, showing the boy getting an electric shock and falling.

The incident is of Gwalior's Tikonia area, under Murar police station.
According to information, the boy, Shiva (also called Babu), was reportedly promised 20 rupees by the youths, Manoj and Hemant, to assist them with the illegal connection.
On Thursday, when Shiva’s parents were not at home, the boy went with the two men to help lay the wires.
During this, Shiva entered a pit near the site. While working with the wires, he received a strong electric shock under suspicious circumstances, which led to his death.

The family informed the police immediately. Police reached the spot, collected evidence, and took the body for post-mortem.
The family demands strict action against the two accused. Murar CSP Rajiv Jangle said the police are investigating the case thoroughly.
Both suspects have been taken into custody. If found guilty, they will face legal action.
