Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava will be tax-free across the state.

The announcement was made on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary.

The film, released on this special day, is based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj’s son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Yadav made this announcement on Wednesday during the inauguration of a stadium in Jabalpur. He said that Sambhaji Maharaj endured great hardships and sacrificed his life for the nation and religion.

The Chief Minister also stated that Chhaava is a historical film that spreads the message of patriotism. To make people aware of Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery and important life events, the film will remain tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.

Story Of Chhaava

The film begins with a narration by Ajay Devgn, giving a glimpse into the history of the Mughals and Marathas. Aurangzeb (played by Akshaye Khanna) receives the news that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has passed away. Overjoyed, Aurangzeb believes that he can now easily take control of the Maratha Empire.

However, during this time, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (played by Vicky Kaushal) attacks the important Mughal city of Burhanpur and defeats Aurangzeb’s army. Furious over this defeat, Aurangzeb vows to destroy the Maratha Empire. He marches toward it with a massive army to capture Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film shows how the Mughal army eventually captures Sambhaji Maharaj and takes him to Aurangzeb, where he is tortured.

The movie features a strong cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, and Vineet Kumar Singh. Chhaava is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes.
