Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Dinesh Pratap Singh visited Bhopal on Sunday to share details about Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025 and extend formal invitation. Maha Kumbh, scheduled to begin on January 13 is expected to draw an estimated 45 crore devotees from around the world.

After visiting Ujjain on Saturday to invite Lord Mahakal, Swatantra Dev Singh, Minister for Jal Shakti and Flood Control, and Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Horticulture, Agriculture Marketing, Agricultural Export and Trade, met with Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar on Sunday at his residence.

Accepting their invitation, Singhar said he had already planned to attend Kumbh with Uttam Swami Ji and his associates. The ministers also extended invitation to several key leaders, including Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Governor Mangubhai Patel and BJP state organisation general secretary Hitanand Sharma.

Swatantra Dev Singh highlighted the extensive arrangements being made to accommodate the massive influx of devotees. The UP government has designated a separate district for Kumbh area, with officials appointed to ensure efficient administration.

A three-tier tracking and monitoring system will be in place to count and track every individual entering the event. Inspired by Mumbai’s Marine Drive, a 15.25-kilometre riverfront is being developed along Ganga river spanning from Sangam to Nagvasuki Temple, Surdas to Chhatnag, and Curzon Bridge to Mahavir Puri.
