Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): Two crocodiles were spotted crawling on roadside from a drain in Shivpuri on Tuesday.

The moment was captured in a video, which is now widely circulating on social media.

Two crocodiles were spotted crawling on the road in Shivpuri after emerging from a drain near Siddheshwar Mandir Marg, close to an ice factory. One of them was seen moving around on the road, while the other eventually slipped back into the drain.

The crocodiles were spotted at Siddheshwar Mandir Marg near an ice factory in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday night, causing panic among locals.

The reptiles were seen slithering near a culvert as shocked locals watched. A passerby recorded the unusual scene, and the video is now going viral on social media.

People in the area were frightened and kept their distance. Forest officials were informed, and efforts are being made to ensure the reptiles are safely removed and the area is secure.

Just a few days ago, a similar crocodile-related incident was reported in Odisha. In Kendrapara district, a 6.3-feet-long female saltwater crocodile was rescued from a pond in Endulalapur village, close to Bhitarkanika National Park. Locals spotted the crocodile and immediately informed the Forest Department.

It took the rescue team three hours to safely capture the reptile. After a health check by vets confirmed the crocodile was healthy, it was released back into the wild.

Forest officials say such sightings are becoming more common during the rainy season, when crocodiles often leave their water homes due to floods or high water levels.

People are advised to stay alert, especially near ponds, rivers, and drains.
