Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Mahakaleshwar temple opened at 2:30 am on the first Monday of Shravan as Shiv devotees flocked for darshan. Lord Mahakal was adorned with a silver moon, trident, and jewellery, along with cannabis, sandalwood, and dry fruits.
The south-facing Jyotirlinga wore the crown of Sheshnag, silver Mundmal, and Rudraksh, as well as a garland of flowers made of fragrant flowers. After this, fruits and sweets were offered.
Similarly, Mangala Aarti was performed at 5 am in Omkareshwar of Khandwa. Omkar Maharaj was specially adorned with flowers. 56 offerings were offered in Naivedya.
The Achleshwar Mahadev temple in Gwalior has been decorated with flowers.
40K devotees visit Bhojpur
In Bhojpur of Raisen, about 40 thousand devotees have visited and worshipped Bhojeshwar Mahadev till 11 am. Badwale Mahadev, Gufa Mandir of Bhopal, Jatashankar Dham of Chhatarpur have been decorated with flowers.
Kanwar Yatra was taken out from Sethani Ghat in Narmadapuram. Kanwadias will go to Pachmarhi with Narmada water, where they will perform the anointment of Jatashankar Mahadev.

47 artists will perform for 23 days at Mahakal Lok
Cultural programs will be presented every evening during the month of Sawan at Shri Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain. Shri Mahakaleshwar Cultural Evening will be organized from 13th July to 16th August (except on the day of Shravan Mahotsav, Sawari day, Nag Panchami and 15th August).
47 artist groups from across the country will present programs from 6 pm to 8 pm near the statue of Sapta Rishis in Shri Mahakal Mahalok premises.
