Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said here on Saturday that during the regional tourism conclave in Rewa, investment proposals worth Rs 3000 crores were received.
The Fly Ola Company had given investment proposals of Rs 700 crores, RCPC and Vindhya Private Ride Rs 500 crore, Tathastu Resort was going to invest Rs 150 crore and Samdariya Builders Rs 300 crores. Lalit Group of Hotels would open its hotel in Chitrakoot, he said.
The CM added that many people got jobs through tourism. When the investment conclave was held in Rewa for the first time, many told him that it would be an exercise in vain but things happened in a reverse manner. He said religious tourism had increased in the state.
Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla praised the scenic spots of Rewa, saying that the Rewa waterfall was far better than Niagara waterfall of Canada and the white tiger safari of Mukundpur outshone the tiger safari of South Africa. Ministers Kailash Vijayvargiya and Prahlad Patel also addressed the gathering.
Next conclave in Chambal, Malwa belt: CM
CM Mohan Yadav said that religious tourism had a wide scope in the state. Hence the government has invited tender for double engine helicopter service. Addressing a press conference after the Rewa regional tourism programme, Yadav said the next tourism conclave would be held in Chambal and Malwa belt.
The CM said medical treatment in Madhya Pradesh was much cheaper than Europe and Arab countries, so the government was keen on promoting health tourism. In this regard, 13 Ayurvedic colleges were being opened in the state to give a fillip to wellness centres.
