Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): A priest lost his life after being bit by a black King Cobra in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district, as reported on Friday.

According to information, the incident occurred in Kurthara village on Thursday night while the priest was sleeping in a Shiv temple of the district.

Early on Friday morning, the ailing priest himself informed the villagers about the snake bite. After this he was rushed to the district hospital,.

Unfortunately, he died during the treatment on Friday morning.

According to doctors, it's almost impossible to subdue Cobra's venom.

was very dangerous which made it difficult for the priest to escape. After the incident, the snake hid in the havan kundi of the temple premises.

Snake catcher caught the snake after half an hour of effort and left it in the forest. He told that the chances of survival from the bite of a black cobra species of snake are very less.

The villagers mourned the death of the priest and his last rites were performed in the morning with due rituals. The villagers have demanded the administration to run an awareness campaign in view of the increasing danger of snakes in the rainy season.
