Vaastu Dosha
A senior officer is getting his official bungalow renovated these days. The renovation of the building, after the officer’s entry into it, seems to be connected to Vaastu Dosha. There are reports that the officer is making many changes in the house. Even after getting an important position, the officer is in trouble for some time. He fears lest he should lose his powerful position. This is the reason why he is giving a complete facelift to the house to end Vaastu Dosha. A politician who had lived in this bungalow before him faced a lot of problems. Against this backdrop, the Sahib also feels lest he should be in trouble because of Vaastu Dosha in the building. The higher-ups in the government are angry with him; and there are chances of his getting entangled in a case. Speculations about his transfer from the present department are rife. So, the Sahib is searching for ways to get rid of this trouble.
Sojourn or destination!
The proposal for rehabilitation of a retired officer has sparked debates in the corridors of power. It is considered that he may be rehabilitated to an important position. Earlier, his name was doing the rounds for a constitutional position, but the government appointed another retired officer to that post. Now, this officer has been appointed to the position where the retired Sahib was posted. There are reports that the arrangement is temporary as was in case of the previous Sahib. The government is making efforts to remove an officer from an important post, but if the government’s plans fail, the position will fall vacant next year. So, the Sahib may be adjusted to this post. An organisation, which has influence over the government, has also pitched in for this Sahib’s rehabilitation.
Sahib vs Memsahib
A senior woman IAS officer has increased difficulties for a senior IPS officer. Previously, the IAS officer was in the department where the IPS officer is now posted. They are not on good terms. The woman bureaucrat, after being transferred from the department, sent some documents to the higher-ups against the IPS officer. Such a comment was written in a file that a tender was cancelled. She has also entrapped him in a case of purchase proving that irregularities galore the department. Now, the Sahib has to give explanations about the issues raised by madam. The situation has come to such a pass that the government is mulling over transferring this IPS officer from the department. Although Sahib is safe for now with the help of the head of the state, the axe may fall on him anytime. Keeping in mind the condition of the department, the IPS officer is also planning to get posting to some other department.
Searching for PS
The government is searching for a Principal Secretary (PS)-rank officer for the most important place in the state, Chief Minister’s Secretariat. A few days ago, several officers were shifted from there. After the transfer of two PSs, two more officers were shifted to another place. Some officers have been posted to the CM’s Secretariat. One more senior officer is required. The government is mulling over some names, but because of a shortage of senior officers, they are unable to take a decision. The government considered the name of an officer, but his posting was cancelled. Efforts were made to get a PS from Delhi, but the government remained unsuccessful. There are reports that the government is mulling over the names of two PSs. If there is a consensus, one of them may be posted to the CM’s Secretariat.
Yearn for posting
Two Principal Secretary (PS)-rank officers are desirous of getting posting to an important department. They have pulled out all the stops to get plum postings. One of them has pleaded with a powerful person to recommend his name for posting. The man recommended the PS’s transfer to an important department. The Sahib tried to woo all important people for transfer, but his efforts came to naught. Similarly, the other PS is also sparing no effort to get a plum posting. Apart from wooing the Bade Sahib, he is trying to please those who are close to the head of the state. PS has set his eyes on two departments, and is trying to achieve the goal through the RSS.
Power play
Two retired bureaucrats are using every muscle for rehabilitation to an important department. Both are well-connected with the higher-ups. One of them has been staying in Delhi for a long time. So, he is using his clout in the ruling party to get the position. The Sahib is also interacting with the BJP leaders in the state. Besides, the family members of the Sahib are making efforts for his rehabilitation to the coveted post. This time, the Sahib has gone all out to achieve his goal. The Sahib knows if he does not get this position now, there will be hardly any scope for him in the coming days. Another retired officer is also working hard to get the position. This officer is counting on the state government and on the administrative officers. The Sahib is making efforts through his acquaintances, too. But it is yet to be decided whether one of these officers will be rehabilitated to the position or a third person will romp home.
