The chapter from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita was recited at the International Gita Mahotsav held on December 11 at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.

The event, organised by the Madhya Pradesh Government's Culture Department, witnessed over 7,000 individuals come together to celebrate this spiritual milestone.

Among the 7,000 participants, 3,740 Acharyas and Batuks performed the recital, achieving an official Guinness World Record for the largest number of people reciting the sacred text simultaneously.

The event was attended by Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, who praised the state's dedication to preserving its rich cultural heritage.

Yadav said, "I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone on the achievement of a world record for the recitation of Shlokas from the holy Gita today. I pray to the Almighty that this journey continues to grow. It is truly a proud moment that today, ten Shlokas from Chapter three, 'Karma Yog,' were recited here. I commend the Culture Department for successfully organizing this remarkable event."
