Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh): A child died shortly after birth in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, after her pregnant mother was carried on a cot through rough path due to the absence of a road and ambulance service in the area.
The woman was pregnant with twins, but because of the delay in reaching medical help, one of the newborns could not survive.

The family had no other option, as there was no motorable road and no ambulance available when the woman went into labour.
According to information, the incident took place in the native village of a state minister, highlighting the poor condition of basic infrastructure and healthcare facilities in rural parts of the state.
The woman gave birth to twin girls, but sadly, one of them died shortly after birth.
Locals blame the delay in reaching the hospital for the baby’s death. They say this is not the first time someone has faced such hardship in their village.
This incident has sparked anger among the villagers, who say they feel neglected and ignored by the authorities.
Many are questioning the government’s claims of development, especially when such conditions exist in a minister’s own village.
The lack of basic services like roads and ambulances continues to put the lives of rural families at risk, raising serious concerns over the ground reality of state-run health and infrastructure schemes.
