Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old newlywed woman committed suicide by hanging herself in Vallabh Nagar under Arera Hills police station early Saturday morning.

The woman wrote a note on the wall of her room with her lipstick in which she accused her mother-in-law and other women of harassing her. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, police said.

According to reports, Priyanka Baban had a love marriage in April this year with Kevin who works in flex printing agency.

On Saturday morning, Kevin and other members of his family saw her body hanging from the ceiling and called police. Police found a note written on the wall with a lipstick in which Priyanka held her mother-in-law, her mother and one Tanu Didi responsible for her suicide.

It also appeared that there were attempts to wash the writing on the wall. Priyanka’s family members alleged foul play behind the incident and said that she was continuously harassed by her mother-in-law and other women in the family.

Kevin’s mother was not happy with the marriage and often used to comment that her son could have received more dowry if he had an arrange marriage.

The ACP Akshay Chaudhary said forensic team carried out investigations at the spot and collected samples. A case has been registered and further action will be taken based on evidences and statements of the family members, he added.
