Many Usable Vehicles Kept In Junkyard At District Hospital

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A few vehicles of Seth Govind Das District Hospital which are in a good condition have been kept as scrap. According to sources, such vehicles are 15 years old and unusable according to government rules. Private companies run most of the vehicles for which the government spends a lot of money.

The vehicles have been parked behind government quarters, and there is nobody to look after these vehicles. Still, there are a few vehicles which can be used after some repairs, but the hospital authorities have kept away from doing this.

Because of the negligence of officials of the hospital, thieves made off with parts of the vehicles. The place, where the vehicles have been kept, has turned into a forest and heap of garbage. Apart from that, the hospital authorities are hardly doing anything to auction these vehicles.

When the issue was put up before civil surgeon Dr Naveen Kothari, he said the process for auctioning vehicles was lengthy. Since explanation has to be given to all the officers at different levels, few come forward for auction of these vehicles, he said.
