Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A man allegedly blackmailed a woman by taking obscene photos and videos of her. When the woman got engaged, the accused posted the videos on Instagram, leading to the cancellation of her engagement. The incident was reported on Sunday at the university police station area in MP's Gwalior.
After the victim's engagement was cancelled, she filed a complaint against the accused at the police station. Recording her statement, the university police station registered a case against the accused and launched a search operation.
According to information, the 23-year-old victim has been identified as a resident of Pichhore in Dabra Tehsil. According to sources, three years ago, she had visited her maternal uncle’s house in Mahalgaon. During her stay, Sohail Khan, a neighbour, allegedly barged into the house, harassed her, and recorded obscene videos while threatening to kill her.
Recently, when the woman’s engagement was fixed, the accused allegedly posted the photos and videos on Instagram, making them viral. As a result, her engagement was called off. Distressed, the woman approached the police with her family and filed a complaint.

Police Investigation
Recording the victim's and her parent's statement, police filed an FIR and launched a search operation for the accused. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Niranjan Sharma confirmed the investigation is underway. The police are making efforts to locate and arrest the accused.
