Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh reported its fifth Covid-19 death on Tuesday — again a woman. A 52-year-old woman, diagnosed with Covid-19, died while undergoing treatment at a government-run hospital. Earlier, four women from Ratlam, Khargone, Indore, and Mandla had also succumbed to the infection. Madhya Pradesh currently has 82 active cases.
The 52-year-old woman had severe inflammation in her lungs, causing severe breathing issues. According to doctors, she was suffering from hypersensitivity pneumonitis (acute lung injury), which ultimately led to her death.
The first four deaths include a 52-year-old woman from Ratlam, who had underlying conditions such as TB, bronchitis, and high blood pressure. She died on June 11 while receiving treatment in Indore.
On June 6, a 44-year-old woman from Khargone, who had recently delivered a baby at MTH Hospital, died at MRTB Hospital in Indore.
Earlier, on April 27, a 74-year-old woman from Indore, who had kidney issues, had also succumbed to Covid-19.
Jabalpur reported a Covid-19 death on June 15. A 27-year-old woman from Narayanganj in Mandla tested positive for the virus a day after delivering a baby at Jabalpur Medical College. She died while undergoing treatment a day later.
