MP Police E-Rakshak App Gets FICCI Smart Policing Award

To encourage digital innovation in policing, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has given the award.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Police's state-of-the-art e-Rakshak App received the FICCI Smart Policing Award 2024 at a function held in New Delhi on Tuesday, said officials.

To encourage digital innovation in policing, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has given the award.

This year, more than 200 nominations were received from all over India for this award. The ADG, state crime records bureau, Chanchal Shekhar, said MP e-Rakshak - The Smart Cop App had been developed to strengthen public safety and law and order.

The app makes policemen working at the beat level technically capable and helps them to identify criminals and suspicious persons. Earlier, the policemen had to identify the criminals mainly on the basis of personal experience and acquaintance.

But through this app, information about criminals of entire Madhya Pradesh is available at one click. This makes quick verification of suspicious persons and vehicles possible so that effective control can be established on crimes.
