Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh will experience another round of cold weather in the first week of February. However, extreme cold is unlikely. In several cities, temperatures may range between 5 to 8 degrees Celsius. Over the next two days, both day and night temperatures will rise.

According to meteorologist at IMD Bhopal, two western disturbances will be active in the next four days. However, their impact on the state will be minimal. No rainfall is expected. On February 1 and 3, the western disturbances will affect northwestern India, with mild cloud cover over Gwalior-Chambal and Ujjain divisions.

Current Weather System

A western disturbance is currently active as a cyclonic circulation over eastern Afghanistan. This weather system is influencing conditions in parts of North and Northwest India. However, its impact on Madhya Pradesh is expected to be minimal, with no significant changes in temperature or precipitation patterns.

Additionally, another cyclonic system is present over western Rajasthan. Strong jet stream winds, blowing at a speed of 268 km/h at an altitude of 12.6 km over Northeast India, are also in effect. Despite these atmospheric developments, their influence on Madhya Pradesh will remain limited, and no major weather disruptions are expected in the state.

Weather Forecast

January 31 – Warm days, but chilly mornings and nights.

February 1 – Cloudy weather in some areas.

Rising Day Temperatures

Several cities have recorded temperatures above 28°C. Seoni was the hottest at 33°C, followed by Khandwa (32.1°C) and Mandla (32°C). Bhopal, Ujjain, and Jabalpur saw temperatures between 29-30°C. Night temperatures have also increased in some regions.

Overall, Madhya Pradesh will experience a mix of weather conditions in the coming days. While another cold spell is expected in early February, it will not be severe. Morning and night temperatures will drop slightly, but daytime warmth will continue.

Cloud cover may appear in some regions due to western disturbances, though their impact will be minimal. With rising daytime temperatures and no major weather disruptions expected, residents can anticipate a transition towards milder winter conditions.
