Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh woke-up with a bright sun on Friday. The central state is expected to witness cloudy weather and light rainfall in the first week of March. 

A Western Disturbance will become active over northwest India from March 2, which may also affect the state. 

Weather expected on Friday 

The temperature is expected to rise during the day and some areas may experience cloudy skies.

What do meteorologists say?

The impact of the Western Disturbance, which will be active over northwest India, may be seen in Madhya Pradesh from March 4. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation system is also active, leading to cloudy skies over Bhopal and other cities.

Particularly on March 4, cities like Indore, Gwalior, and Chambal may experience changes in weather. Before this, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

Weather expected on March 1

On the first day of March, cities like Bhopal and Indore may see a 2-3°C rise in daytime temperature. 

Weather throughout February 

February saw varied weather conditions in Madhya Pradesh. While the beginning of the month brought intense cold, the temperatures started rising in the second week, making winter almost disappear. 

Cities like Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, and Jabalpur recorded nighttime temperatures above 10°C. Daytime temperatures even touched 34°C in some places.

On the last day of February (Friday), the weather will remain similar, but changes are expected in the first week of March.

For five days, the state experienced intense cold, with temperatures in Pachmarhi and other areas dropping below 10°C. However, since Wednesday-Thursday night, temperatures have started rising again by 2 to 4 degrees.

Pachmarhi: 10.2°C, Kalyanpur: 10.3°C, Girwar (Shajapur): 11.2°C, Umaria: 11.3°C, Anwari (Ashoknagar): 11.6°C, Mandla: 12°C
