MP CM Mohan Yadav Visits Senso-ji Temple In Japan, Bats For Japanese Investment In MP

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav went to Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo and paid homage to Lord Buddha on Wednesday. He praised the Lord Buddha's principles of nonviolence and spirituality.

The CM said Lord Buddha is an incarnation of God Vishnu, is revered, and this is a matter of pride for India. Buddha’s thoughts are the foundation for cultural and spiritual unity among Asian countries, he emphasised.

CM Yadav's visit to Japan is not limited to the investors' meet but also aims to strengthen cultural ties with the East Asian country and enrich the partnership between the two nations.

New opportunities in industrial, IT, and health sectors

Shedding light on his Japan visit to attract the investment, he said meaningful discussions were held with the foreign minister, Japanese investors, Japan’s external trade organisation, the president of Keidanren, and several private investors. Japan’s advanced technology and industrial expertise will create new opportunities in the industrial, IT, health, and education sectors of Madhya Pradesh. Efforts are also being made to ensure youth skill development and ensure employment opportunities and participation in industrial growth.

Japanese companies will invest in the fields of new technologies, which will give a new direction to the industrial and economic development of the state.

Focus on infra, smart city development

During his meeting with Japan’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, Yasushi Furukawa, CM Yadav discussed Japan’s cooperation in infrastructure, smart city development, transport modernisation, and tourism. He highlighted the need for Japanese expertise in expanding metro rail networks and introducing electric buses in the state. The conversation also focused on implementing Japanese technologies in smart cities like Bhopal and Indore, along with cooperation in solar energy and other renewable energy projects. This meeting reinforced CM’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and leveraging Japan's expertise to drive sustainable infrastructure and energy development in Madhya Pradesh.

Medical device

In his meeting with Daiki Arai, Director of AND Medical Company, CM Yadav discussed opportunities for medical device manufacturing in Madhya Pradesh. He emphasized the 75-acre Medical and Pharmaceutical Park under development in Ujjain, positioning it as a prime destination for global investors.

Invitation to investors

CM held discussions with Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Chairman Susumu Kataoka and his delegation, focusing on exploring collaboration and investment opportunities for Japanese companies in Madhya Pradesh. CM emphasised the importance of opening a JETRO office in the state, noting that JETRO currently operates five offices in India. He also invited Japanese investors to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS). CM also visited the Bridgestone office and met Japan International Cooperation Agency's Senior Vice President Shohei Hara, urging investment in Madhya Pradesh’s hydro projects.
