Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held the year's first cabinet meeting in the capital, Bhopal, on Tuesday.
The cabinet took several decisions aimed at providing employment to the youth and doubling the income of the farmers. The cabinet has decided to start 'Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission' from January 12. Professionals and celebrities will likely be roped in to promote the state's own milk brand, Sanchi.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav told the ministers to prepare detailed department-wise proposals to seek maximum annual funds from the centre. The proposals will be discussed with the chairman of the 16th Finance Commission, Arvind Panagariya, who is expected to visit Madhya Pradesh soon.

Police stations will open in Mahakal Lok and Tapobhoomi.
Two separate police stations will open in Mahakal Lok and Tapobhoomi in Ujjain. The cabinet has approved and sanctioned 150 posts, which include two posts of inspector, 16 posts of sub-inspector, 20 posts of assistant sub-inspector, 26 posts of head constable, 80 posts of constable, 2 posts of head constable driver, and 4 posts of constable driver.
The cabinet has approved e-governance Daksh in the Maihar, Pandhurna, and Mauganj districts. 15 posts have been approved to start the work of the e-governance society here.
Vivekanand Yuva Shakti Mission will be created to focus on knowledge.
Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the cabinet meeting focused on GYAN—Gareeb (poor), Youth, i.e., Annadatta (farmers), and nari shakti (women empowerment).
He said that the Yadav government has started working on PM Narendra Modi's formula of GYAN. Work will be done to pave new ways for the youth, especially in sectors of education, technical education, and skill development.
