Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): MP Board has announced that filling the APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) in exam forms will be optional for Class 10 and Class 12 students in the 2025-26 session.
This decision comes as a relief for students whose APAAR ID has not yet been created.

Now, in a new order sent to schools, the board has made it optional for the 2025-26 session. This means if a student already has an APAAR ID, they can enter it in the exam form, but if their ID is not ready yet, they can leave the field blank.
However, from the 2026-27 session, filling the APAAR ID in the exam form will be mandatory for all students.
The board had issued its first exam guidelines for the 2025-26 academic year on 28 June 2024, making the APAAR ID a required field.
But since the process of creating APAAR IDs for all students is still incomplete, many students could have been stopped from appearing for the exams.
To ensure that no student is left out, the board decided to make it optional for this year.
Officials have advised schools and students to complete the APAAR ID process before the next academic session so that there are no issues during exam form submission in the future.
