Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a hard line on indiscipline.

BJP’s state unit president VD Sharma, state in charge Mahendra Singh and organisational general secretary Hitanand Sharma called some leaders to the party office for breaching discipline.

They gave such leaders a piece of advice. The BJP expelled former president of the Satna unit, Satish Sharma, from the organisation for harassing a woman.

The woman accused Sharma of making her obscene photographs viral on social media and threatening her with dire consequences.

VD Sharma said he had called legislators Pradeep Patel and Preetam Lodhi and the mayor of Sagar, Sangeeta Tiwari, and the mayor of Dewas, Geeta Agarwal, to the party office.

He said he had also spoken to the chairperson of the Bina Nagar Palika, Lata Sakwar. Sakwar dissolved PIC and made new appointments.

Sangeeta Tiwari did not come to the office. The party is going to serve a notice on her.

The Sagar Mayor reformed the Mayor-in-Council (MIC) without taking permission from the organisation.

Similarly, the party has given a piece of advice to the Dewas mayor for changing MIC.

There is no place for indiscipline in the party, Sharma said.

The party also called legislator Patel and dressed him down. There are allegations that Patel has breached party discipline several times. He recently entered a police station and told the cops to arrest him.

The party told Patel not to act in a way that would tarnish the image of the government and the organisation.

According to sources, the party may seek a written explanation from them.

Legislator Preetam Lodhi could not come to the party office on Saturday. The party, too, gave him a piece of advice over the phone.

Lodhi called Energy Minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar ‘Lattu Mantri’. He also made several allegations against the Shivpuri SP.

The organisation told him not to do anything against the organisation and raise the issues at the party forum.
