Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): In an interesting medical achievement, a 6-year-old girl from  Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur, was saved by a doctor after she accidentally swallowed a magnet while playing at home. 

The magnet got stuck in her throat, but thanks to the quick action of a local surgeon, she was treated without surgery.

According to reports, the incident occurred late on Monday night when Manvi Jain, daughter of Puneet Kumar Jain, was playing at home. 

While playing, she accidentally swallowed a magnet. The magnet got stuck in her throat, and her family rushed her to the Chhatarpur District Hospital.

Here, Dr. Manoj Choudhary, a surgeon at the hospital, successfully removed the magnet without performing any surgery.

Dr. Choudhary is known for handling such emergency cases. He has previously removed coins and other foreign objects from the throats of hundreds of children.

Types of methods used for such procedures- 

Magill Forceps: Used to pull out objects stuck in the upper throat using a special tool under direct vision.

Endoscopy: A thin tube with a camera and tools is inserted through the mouth to remove the object. It's minimally invasive and common.

Foley Catheter Method: A soft tube is inserted past the object, inflated, and gently pulled out (used in resource-limited settings).

These are some methods used to removing objects from throats without surgeries.
