Madhya Pradesh: Patwari, 2 Others Caught Taking ₹8,000 Bribe To Conduct Demarcation Process In Shivpuri |

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Gwalior Lokayukta police on Tuesday caught a patwari and two others in Bamore-Kala village in Shivpuri district for taking bribe of Rs 8,000 to conduct demarcation process, said police.

Gwalior Lokayukta SP Rajesh Mishra said that the complainant Sukhdev Yadav’s aunt owned land in three places.

The family had applied for the demarcation of the lands for which patwari Raghuram Bhagat demanded bribe of Rs 10,000. The matter was reported to Lokayukta police, who after verification formed a trap team led by DSP Vinod Singh.

Meanwhile, the patwari agreed to get the official work done in exchange for a bribe of ₹8,000. On Tuesday, when the complainant went to hand over the money at the patwari’s residence, the patwari refused to take it directly and instead instructed him to give the money to Dinesh Kumar Lodhi. Lodhi then passed the amount to the village guard, Nandlal, who finally handed it over to the patwari.

After the transaction, the matter was reported to the police. A case has been registered against all three individuals involved, the patwari, Dinesh Kumar Lodhi, and Nandlal.

The investigation into the bribery case is currently underway.
