Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): An unusual case of heart-break has come to light during a public hearing in Gwalior. A youth allegedly demanded a compensation of ₹10 lakh after his wife asked for divorce.

The youth said that he wished to stay with his wife, however she wanted to end things full another man. Full of agony and tired of constant threats, the husband now has demanded money to compensate for his emotional pain!

The victim identified as Sultan Khan, a resident of Islampura police station Bahodapur, reached the public hearing and submitted a written application to the officials.

In the application, Sultan alleged that his wife has an illicit relationship with someone else and that is why she is demanding a divorce. The young man says that he tried every possible way to convince his wife is but she is under immense influence of her lover and desperately wants a divorce.

Sultan has made the most serious allegations against his wife's lover. He says that his wife's lover has threatened him that if he does not divorce his wife, he will be killed. Sultan also said that he is constantly being subjected to mental torture.

At present, the young man is seemingly trying to save his married life, but the wife's intentions and the lover's threats are concerning. In this regard, a statement of CSP Kiran Ahirwar of Bahodapur area has also come out.

He said that the application has been received by the young man and the entire matter is being investigated. Action will be taken under whatever legal process is formed.
