Madhya Pradesh: Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Raping Minor Held

Shahdol (Madhya Pradesh): Gohparu police apprehended a man accused of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl. The arrest follows a complaint lodged at police station.

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation to locate the missing girl. Their efforts led to the recovery of the minor on April 17, from the residence of suspect Rahul Kol's maternal uncle in Bareilly. Kol is a resident of Jaisingh Nagar.

Girl reveals the horrifying ordeal

During the questioning, the girl revealed the horrifying ordeal she endured, stating that Rahul Kol had raped her in July of the previous year. Based on this disclosure, the police added related sections of BNS, along with POCSO Act, to the existing case.

Accused arrested on Saturday

The accused, Rahul Kol, was arrested on April 19 and presented before the Juvenile Justice court in Shahdol.

The rescue operation was led by Gohparu police station incharge Vinay Singh Gaharwar. The police department also commended the commendable efforts of SI Jaibali Singh, SI Vidyasagar, MR Kunwar Devi, R Gurudayal, and Dinesh Chauhan for their role in investigation and arrest.
