Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Congress SC wing president Pradeep Ahirwar was allegedly attacked by some 50 people when he was heading to Gyaraspur in Vidisha district on Monday. He lodged a police complaint, alleging that a group of unidentified miscreants attacked him, about 60 km from Bhopal.
According to Ahirwar, the incident occurred at 11 am when he reached Thaila village along with other aides to attend Congress party's event in Gyaraspur village. A mob vandalised his car with sticks and swords. However, he escaped unharmed because he didn't come out from the car.
In a video recorded outside Ganj Basoda police station, Ahirwar showed that the rear windshield and window panes on the right side of his car, which were damaged in the attack. He lodged a complaint at Ganj Basoda police station.
Sadanira Samagam at Bharat Bhawan from June 20
Veer Bharat Nyas will hold a six-day Sadanira Samagam under Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan at Bharat Bhawan from June 20-25. Chief minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the event at 6 pm.
Veer Bharat Nyas trustee secretary Shriram Tiwari told media persons on Monday that the event a dance drama, Hum-Nava, Tista and Godavari dialogue by kathak exponent Shama Bhate and troupe from Pune would be organised on the inaugural day. Another event, Sound of River - music and poetry by Smita Nagdev and Rahul Sharma from Bhopal will also be held on the inaugural day. Film, Sadanira and Amritsya Narmada, will be screened on the same day.
Well-known actors, singers and writers including Piyush Mishra, Karan Razdan, Rajeev Verma, Annu Kapoor, Seema Kapoor, Navni Parihar, Swapnil Kothari and Santosh Chaubey will recite poems, based on rivers under Nadinama at 6.30 pm on June 21.
