Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The forest department has registered a case under section of wildlife protection act in connection with the seizure of four crocodiles from the pond situated near to a temple inside the bungalow area of ex-BJP MLA Harvansh Singh Rathore. Meanwhile, while speaking to Free Press, Harvansh Singh Rathore said that the temple situated near to the pond is a public trust. As far as crocodile issue is concerned, they were kept during the time of grandfather and grandmother. Long ago, through the medium of temple priest, a letter was given to the forest department to take away crocodiles.

Rathore refutes allegations

When asked that the I-T department has found around 14 kg gold and huge cash during raid at his residence, Harvansh Singh Rathore said that gold ornaments are ancestral and they belong to family members. There is proper record of jewellery. He is collecting documents to challenge the seizure of gold in court.

Likewise, he said that his siblings are into business and hence there is no issue of illegal cash or gold. Notably, the I-T department had raided the house of Rathore along with persons connected with him including Rajesh Kesharwani and some others.
