Betul (Madhya Pradesh): Four children sustained serious burn after an explosion took place in a house in Milanpur village of Betul Bazar police station area on Monday. The blast left the children with deep wound on their hands and feet.

According to the family members the children were playing at the back of the room when they heard a sound of explosion. Upon rushing the family member found the children severely injured. The injured include four children from three different families.

The family rushed after hearing the sound of the explosion

Sangeeta, mother of one of the injured child, Ankit said "The children were playing at the back of the room when i heard a sound of explosion, I ran in and saw that something like a battery had exploded."

A relative of the injured added that the children had brought home a bike's faulty battery which might have triggered the explosion

The forensic team will investigate

TI Anjana Dhurve said "The children injured in the accident are relatives, and The explosion is being investigated closely."

She also added "Initial inspection has not revealed any signs of explosives. Initially, The forensic team will conduct a detailed investigation.

Doctors hinted a possibility of dynamite explosion

While the family feels the blast was caused by a battery explosion, but looking at the grave injuries and the nature of the wound the doctors hinted a possibility of a dynamite-related explosion.

As of now the children are undergoing treatment, conditions remain critical.
