Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The police have unearthed a suspected organised crime racket involving Aadhar ID manipulation in the Police Constable Recruitment-2023.
So far, 17 FIRs have been registered and 12 people arrested in connection with the fraud, which appears to have links to multiple gangs, especially from Bihar.
As per investigators, Aadhar details were altered to allow solvers to appear in the written test in 2023 on behalf of actual candidates. Later, the Aadhar information was re-updated to enable the original candidates to take the physical proficiency test in 2024.
One such solver from Bihar appeared in written exams for six different candidates, using Aadhar manipulation in various districts on different dates. Out of these, five candidates were selected as constables, but were caught before their official joining.
A source involved in the investigation said, “Two solvers from districts in Gwalior-Chambal region took written tests for over 16 candidates, again across multiple dates and locations. Many of those candidates have also been selected.”

Doubts over earlier exam
There is a possibility that this racket and its novel modus operandi were active even before the MP Police Recruitment 2023. Sources said similar techniques could have been used in other government recruitment exams in Madhya Pradesh over the last 2–3 years. Further, the link between these rackets and Aadhar centres, as well as exam fraud networks outside MP, cannot be ruled out.
