Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday announced that Indore will be honoured in the newly introduced Super Swachh League category of the Cleanliness Survey 2024, securing top spot once again.
Indore, already a seven-time cleanest city winner, will now be felicitated in this elite category created for consistent top performers. “This new category recognises past performance and future potential. Indore deserves this position,” said CM.
The Chief Minister also said that Bhopal will be awarded as the Best State Capital in the 2024 survey, while Ujjain will receive the Swachh League Award in category of cities with a population between 3 to 10 lakh.Budhniwill be honoured in the below 20,000 population town category. Moreover, cities like Gwalior, Dewas, Shahganj and Jabalpur will also receive awards in various other cleanliness categories.
CM Yadav congratulated mayors, sanitation workers, corporators and citizens of winning cities for their hard work and commitment.
The Swachh Survekshan 2024 award ceremony will be held in New Delhi on July 17, where President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards to winning cities across the country.
