Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government is going to organise Shri Krishna Parv at 3,000 Shri Krishna temples on Jamnashtami.
Matki-phod, raas-leela, bhajans, decoration and makeup competitions will be held in temples. Three prizes of Rs 1.50 lakh, five prizes of Rs 1 lakh and seven prizes of Rs 51,000 for unique decoration in the temples will be given to winners of the contests.
1,000 artistes to participate in the event
About 1,000 artistes will take part in 155 cultural programmes at 100 places including Bhopal, Ujjain, Amjhera, Janapav, Mandla, Umaria and Shahdol.

Janmashtami celebrations will also be held in all hotels of the state. Haldhar Kisan Mela and exhibitions will also be organised in all the districts of the state on Baldev Jayanti (August 14).
Chief minister's cultural advisor Shriram Tiwari told media persons on Tuesday that main programme would be organised at chief minister’s residence at 2 pm.
More than 1000 children will participate with their families. Guests and participants accompanied by chief minister Mohan Yadav will be offered makhan mishri, Laddu Gopal idol and Har Ghar Gokul, Ghar Ghar Gopal placards and peacock feathers.
