GIS 2025: 24 Industry Titans Confirm Attendance, More To Join Soon

GIS Summit: Keeping fingers crossed, govt expects heavy investment.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As many as 24 industry leaders, so far, have confirmed attending the Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) in Bhopal. The government expects a favourable response from industrialists in the country and abroad for the two-day summit, which begins on February 24.  Since the guests are likely to begin arriving in Bhopal from February 23, arrangements are being made accordingly.

As per a Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation officer, the guests who have confirmed their participation already include Nadir Godrej (CMD Godrej Industries), Ashwani Arora (MD Dawat Foods), Mohit Malhotra (CEO Dabur India Limited), Balkrishan Goenka (Chairman Welspun World), and Sunil Bajaj (Executive President, Aditya Birla Group).

Others on the list include Satish Pai (MD, Hindalco Industries), HK Agrawal (MD, Grasim Industries), Kailash Jhanwar (MD, Ultra Tech Cement), Baba N Kalyani (CMD, Bharat Forge Limited), Anil Chalamalasetty (CEO and MD Greenko Group), Kartik Bharat Ram (Joint MD, SRF Limited), Raghavpat Singhania (MD, JK Cement), MarcJarrault (CTO, Lapp Group), Salil Gupte (President, Boeing India), and Neeraj Jain (Joint MD, Vardhman Textiles), said the officer.

Hotels prepare for GIS guests

Deluxe and premium class rooms have been booked in the reputed hotels of the city for GIS guests. Unique registration numbers will be provided to each guest staying in these rooms.

Roads being fixed, city beautified

Agencies such as the PWD and the Bhopal Municipal Corporation are scurrying to complete the remaining works well before the GIS begins. The buzz is that guests will be taken around the city after the GIS and workers can be seen repairing or reconstructing the roads, and digging trenches along the roadside to lay pebble blocks.

Labourers have also been hired to beautify public places. A new road has been laid from Ganesh Temple till the Baghsevania police station. Likewise, a new road has been laid from Dushyant Sangrahalaya till the Rani Kamlapati road.
