Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Thousands of Muslims gathered in the heart of Bhopal, lifting their hands and hearts in prayer, seeking peace for the nation and blessings for Palestine as they offered Namaaz in unison on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid),
Shahar Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadvi led the Namaaz in Idgah and Maulana Hassan Sahab led the Namaaz in Tajul Masjid. During the Namaaz, prayers were offered for the safety of the country, establishment of justice, healing of the sick, protection of Palestinian brothers, their hunger and thirst and situation.
Namaaz was also offered at various mosques of the city including Moti Masjid, Jama Masjid, Masjid Bilkis Jahan (Arif Nagar) at their scheduled time. Shahar Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadvi concluded the Eid Namaaz with peace and good rain.
Shahar Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadvi and Maulana Hassan Sahab in Tajul Masjid prayed for following the path of love of Sufis, sages and elders.
Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) is being celebrated with full devotion and respect. According to the Islamic calendar, Eid, which is celebrated on the 10th of Zilhijja, was announced by Shahar Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadvi on Wednesday after the sighting of the moon after the Maghrib prayers at Moti Masjid.

Namaz is being offered in Eidgahs and mosques since this morning. The time for namaz in Eidgah was 6:30 am, after which Eid namaz was offered at Tajul Masjid at 6:45 am, Jama Masjid at 7 am, Moti Masjid at 7:15 am and Masjid Bilkis Jahan (Arif Nagar) at 7:30 am.
Shahar Qazi Nadvi said that sacrifice is an important duty of Islam, but it is the responsibility of every Muslim to perform it in a proper and noble manner. He has appealed to the people that the place of sacrifice should be covered from all sides, special attention should be paid to cleanliness and administrative rules should be followed.
